The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Centre commissioned a special themed piece from Elena Parashko for the charity’s ‘ROCKINC’ fundraiser at Rod Laver Arena in 2006. It stood out from a vast array of auctioned works and delighted the charity.
The APF Group recently completed its new corporate headquarters. As part of this move it was decided that it would be ideal to enhance our large and expensive fit-out with a series of paintings. However, a few considerations required thought. First, the artworks needed to be originals. Second, the fit-out would take approximately 2-3 months to complete, and we wanted the artworks to be ready at the same time as completion of the office. This meant that the exact nature, size and colour of each individual painting had to be determined beforehand, without the area where they would finally be located, actually being built yet. I had no prior experience with any aspect of art; other than to know a good painting when I saw one. Dimension, colours, perspective etc were well beyond my skills. With this in mind, we contacted Elena Parashko. I am very pleased to say that after our initial discussion and her consistent liaison with myself and our office manager, Elena assumed control of the project, from start to finish. The project was completed on time and within budget. More importantly, clients have commented on how well the entire environment has been blended together via Elena’s paintings. The APF Group has absolutely no hesitation in recommending Elena for any art project.
Elena’s painting of Rainbow Beach evokes many childhood memories for me. The picture perfectly captures the spirit of the place – I not only instantly recognized the physical characteristics – Double Island Point and the wonderful coloured sands - but also the feel and special light of Rainbow Beach. The picture was a perfect present for my parents, who still live in the Queensland Hinterland near Rainbow Beach. Elena’s website allowed me to view her fine collection of artwork categorised by subject – Elena’s seascapes are my personal favourite. Once I ordered the painting online, it was delivered promptly. I look forward to my next purchase.
Earlier this year I purchased the painting ‘Missing You‘. It provides me with much pleasure as I sit and gaze at it for hours. I find my eyes and thoughts constantly drawn to it when in my lounge room and the memories come flooding back. I think in our lives we have all been there, in that painting, and the feelings that it generates within. I would just like to thank you.
As I am familiar with the high quality of Elena's artwork, having already purchased several paintings, I recently commissioned a small painting as a special gift for a friend. Elena was very helpful during the process and included the range of elements that I wanted to be reflected in the artwork. Once I saw the final product I was quite moved as she had managed to not only capture the natural beauty of the subject but also gave it a soul of its own. In my view ‘Shelluxations’ is an astoundingly beautiful piece that can truly be treasured.
When we saw Elena’s artwork quite some time ago, we immediately considered her to produce a painting of our family’s homestead. Well that time came, and we must say we all are truly impressed and completely satisfied with the painting we commissioned. Elena’s ability to capture the essence of what the home means to our family is beyond belief. She is a truly talented artist, applying detail and technique to the reality of the photo taken of the home and surrounding property. Putting it simply, no photo can match the authenticity Elena created in the piece, bringing out a lifetime of treasured memories captured in still life on canvas for us to look at and admire for many years to come. It will pass through our family with much pride.
Elena’s paintings are fabulous. They are idyllic and manage to capture and emanate a serene and harmonious atmosphere. I love being one of Elena’s first collectors and I hope to buy many more of her scenic artworks
We needed a work of art for a large wall in our newly renovated open plan house and Elena was recommended to us by our interior designer. Elena was shown a couple of photos of where the painting would hang and given a brief and some suggested colours to incorporate into the painting. We wanted it to be abstract and quite stunning as it would be seen from several different rooms. Elena painted a postcard sized sample and from this we were able to give her the go ahead to commence our new work of art which she named ‘Silent Kisses’. We liked being able to keep in touch with Elena by email and she was kind enough to give us updates on how our creation was going. We loved the name Elena gave the painting so much that we asked to have it incorporated on the actual artwork, and she was very happy to oblige. She obviously cares about her work and her clients. We are really delighted with the finished work. It brings the bare wall to life and it is one of the first things guests see as they walk through the front door. ‘Silent Kisses’ was painted especially for us and our newly renovated home and we couldn't be happier!
We were told of Elena's artwork and checked her website. The painting we wanted was for a very narrow wall dividing two large sliding windows. We had a very basic idea of what we wanted, namely a view of North Head (which is the view from the adjoining windows). We provided Elena with a reference photograph of the scene but Elena correctly advised that including all the surrounding trees and buildings would make a narrow (40cm) painting too busy. She suggested a view from the beach below. The finished painting ‘North Head from Chinaman's’ is exactly what we wanted. Her treatment of the various textures of sand as the waves break on the beach is extraordinary. It looks magnificent hanging beside the actual view, and we couldn’t be happier.
I first heard of Elena Parashko as an active and well-respected member of our local community and was impressed by the paintings she exhibited at the local primary school art exhibition. She is also a well-known artist who exhibits at several galleries. When my 8 year old son wanted to do art classes I went straight to Elena as I had received good reports from others regarding her teaching. My son enjoys his lessons and is progressing well. He is also learning other skills such as patience and attention to detail. I was amazed to see Elena’s gallery and was very impressed by the quality of work on display. I commissioned Elena to create an artwork and she was able to work closely with me to produce a piece which specifically suited a particular room in our house. We are very pleased with the result and it hangs proudly in our drawing room.
Your paintings are beautiful and have brightened up our offices and subsequently our days. They look fabulous. Everyone has been really impressed, especially with the one outside the two boardrooms. That space was so bare, but you have really brought it to life.
After commissioning Elena to paint a floral composition, we were provided with detailed sketches for us to choose from and were kept informed throughout the process with ongoing communication. We chose the subject of Calla Lilies and with Elena’s added artistic influence, she brought the painting to life. We were extremely happy with the final product. So much so, that we asked Elena to produce another painting to compliment the first.
Elena was kind enough to display her work ‘Mariner’s Journey’ in our new architect designed display home. The painting is located in the entry foyer of the home and it is the first point of sight as you enter. The painting has drawn a great appreciation from all who visit and it truly makes the entry foyer of this home simply stunning.
My Bird of Paradise paintings are in full bloom. I am constantly inspired by them. Truly one of the best decisions I have made in a long time.
We just got back in town and picked up our painting from the post office today. We absolutely LOVE it!!! The colors are perfect and the palm leaves on the sides are exactly the right touch! You are our favorite artist, by far!! Thank you so much for working with us to create the perfect piece for our home!! We will cherish it forever! We will certainly send you a picture once we get it framed and hung!
My painting ‘An Affair of the Heart’ takes pride of place in my kitchen/dining room. I still love your painting as much as when I first saw it in Hamilton Island Art Gallery, and every day it gives me a little bit of peace, serenity and joy. I had been looking for the right painting for a long time to go in that place. I knew I would find it if I was patient. I just had to go to Australia and see your work and there it was! Everyone who sees it loves it too and admires your skill and the natural essence you have captured. They can't believe it's an artwork not a photo!
