After a trip to the Whitsundays with five friends, I wanted a painting to commemorate our trip. I couldn't find quite what I wanted in the gallery and, having been a previous buyer of one of Elena’s paintings, I contacted her to commission a piece that would accurately reflect the people and places that made this trip so special. Elena was quick to respond, and we got to work on the brief. After some dialogue, Elena drew a sketch for me to check the proposed layout for the painting. She outlined every step of the process, made it very easy for me, and kindly worked around some important timings I had. I have just completed your lovely cockatoo jigsaw puzzle. It’s so well made and with interestingly shaped pieces. It's too beautiful to break up, so I have mounted and displayed it in an alcove in a wall. I've done many puzzles in my time, and I must say QPuzzles are excellent quality.

I think your painting 'Tropical Waters' is truly remarkable and is exactly what folk see when they go to the reef. I don’t generally buy paintings (I prefer photography) but your painting was so outstanding, I knew I would live with regret if I didn’t take it home with me. When I first saw your painting ‘Interlude’ I was so taken by the calmness and felt instantly drawn to it. I fell in love with the tranquility of the painting 'Mirage'. The tones are restful and give a sense of peace. I love how the waves gently lap at the shoreline and I also love the gentleness of the horizon. It just makes me want to be there in the painting! 'Mirage' will have pride of place in my home. The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Centre commissioned a special themed piece from Elena Parashko for the charity’s ‘ROCKINC’ fundraiser at Rod Laver Arena in 2006. It stood out from a vast array of auctioned works and delighted the charity.

The APF Group recently completed its new corporate headquarters. As part of this move it was decided that it would be ideal to enhance our large and expensive fit-out with a series of paintings. However, a few considerations required thought. First, the artworks needed to be originals. Second, the fit-out would take approximately 2-3 months to complete, and we wanted the artworks to be ready at the same time as completion of the office. This meant that the exact nature, size and colour of each individual painting had to be determined beforehand, without the area where they would finally be located, actually being built yet. I had no prior experience with any aspect of art; other than to know a good painting when I saw one. Dimension, colours, perspective etc were well beyond my skills. With this in mind, we contacted Elena Parashko. I am very pleased to say that after our initial discussion and her consistent liaison with myself and our office manager, Elena assumed control of the project, from start to finish. The project was completed on time and within budget. More importantly, clients have commented on how well the entire environment has been blended together via Elena’s paintings. Elena was shown a couple of photos of where the painting would hang and given a brief and some suggested colours to incorporate into the painting. We wanted it to be abstract and quite stunning as it would be seen from several different rooms. Elena painted a postcard sized sample and from this we were able to give her the go ahead to commence our new work of art which she named ‘Silent Kisses’. We liked being able to keep in touch with Elena by email and she was kind enough to give us updates on how our creation was going. We loved the name Elena gave the painting so much that we asked to have it incorporated on the actual artwork, and she was very happy to oblige. She obviously cares about her work and her clients. We are really delighted with the finished work.
